Happy New Year everyone! Cambridge Hub has a new project which may be of interest to those of you interested in food poverty & policy.
Cambridge Hub is working on its inaugural policy paper to understand how charities and non-governmental organisation can and should tackle the problem of Food Poverty. According to Oxfam, malnutrition affects more than 2 million Britons with 1 in every 4 children affected. With the introduction of many austerity measures, food poverty has climbed to a level that captured even United Nations’ attention!
They are recruiting for one co-editor and four more policy writers to work on this paper throughout the whole of Lent with fortnightly meetings. This is great opportunity to gain research and writing experience.
